A friend's daughter had a crocs escalator accident four days ago at the Festival Supermall in Alabang. Thank God she's not seriously injured. We all love Crocs because it's very comfy but the point is these pairs have a lot of legal cases all over the world due to the accidents it caused. It's time for consumers to be reminded of the hazards of wearing rubberized foot wears especially when riding the escalators. NEVER ever leave your kids unattended and NEVER let them play on the escalator. Margaud wasn't even playing when it happened. Accidents can happen to anyone, let's just hope that this incident is the last. To Margaud: We will continue to pray for you. God is always by your side, He will heal your pain. Have faith, pray harder and He will see you through. Always be careful. I'll see you in Rosemont. Hugs & kisses -Tita Carley Here is Myla's story.... Blogs have been re-written as well. http://daphneosena.livejournal.com/26882.html************************************************************************************************** It was a very unusual Thursday for me.. I was super stressed finishing just one costume out of 30 sets of costumes due for May 31 dance recital. Early Thursday morning, I thought of bringing my kids along with me despite of the super hectic schedules to finish the whole day... An 8 am meeting in Pasig with my mananahi, pass by in Ortigas at Bev's condo to pick up my new laptop (thanks Bev for carrying this all the way from San Fo,super I owe you girl), rushing and finishing the 40's ballerina costume, going back to our office in Makati, etc.etc... Time ran so fast and did'nt notice that it was already 6pm. Till Martin had to pick us up in my Makati office together with Marcus, Margy and my 2 yayas... Unexpectedly and unluckily, on our way back to Alabang, I saw a small run at the side of the costume. Instantly, I decided to look for an alteration in Filinvest Alabang and to have a quick dinner with my family before I deliver the costume in Alabang Hills. Martin had to drop me 1st at the mall lobby so I can finish my errand. And this is where the nightmare started. I was just about to enter this alteration shop at the 2nd floor and noticed that there were these group of people panicking/running so fast.. It caught my attention..What caught my attention more was these people were my family...I was about 20 meters away from the scene when I saw Martin's red face carrying Margaud running very fast and behind them were my 2 yayas and Marcus running after Martin. All their faces looked so worried and red. I got surprised and scared and my initial thinking was there must be an earthquake (too much reading about earthquake articles that just happened in China and Iceland).. I had no choice but to run as fast as I can so I can catch them up. Finally, I caught them in Healthway Clinic.. My heart was pounding hard..Till I got a chance to talk with my Yaya Arlene. She told me ' Mam si Margaud naipit po sa escalator'... Margaud and Martin were already inside the E.R. when I came in.. I can't look.. I was scared to look...The ER doctor came to me and asked me if I was the mother.. I asked her back, 'Doc, puputulin ba ang paa?' It was th e 1st and only question I wanted to ask... She replied 'mukhang hindi naman but will stil have to find out'... I embraced my daughter so tight and started whispering 'I'm just here Margy, I will never leave you'..Margy was hysterical...I can feel her pain but I cant do anything... I sat down quietly on the chair and started praying.. I told God, guide my daughter Lord...I need you so badly.. Margy had to be transferred to the Xray room to check if there are fracture bones/fracture toe.. I stayed outside to pray harder. When the result came, the doctor said, 'there was no fracture'..My prayer was heard. But Margaud's toe nail had to be removed so the doctor asked us to wait for the surgeon...Margy had to be sedated she said coz it will be very painful. Martin and I had decided to transfer Margy in Asian Hospital for the surgery.I thank God that Martin's sister and her husband were there to assist us. They are Internal Med Doctors by the way in Asian.. Ate Ivy (my sis in law)had to call her surgeon friend doctor and the wife (who is my kids pediatrician)who were having a dinner at Westgate at that moment.. They rushed so quickly to attend to Margaud. Doctors decided to remove Margy's nail while awake... They said it would be a lesser complication instead of putting her to sleep thru anesthesia. Margy had tetanus shots too coz of the escalator oil that went inside her wounds.. Thank God we were finally back home and Margy at that night had 3 nighmares , shouting, screaming and crying while asleep... That night when everyone was asleep was the only chance I got to know the whole story....It was 1230am then, Martin and I were sobbing trying to recall the incident... According to Martin, it came so fast.. They were just in the middle of the escalator from 3rd floor going to the 2nd floor when he felt that Margy was turning little by little.(Martin was in the middle of Marcus and Margy on the escalator). Till Martin felt that Margaud was almost falling. Martin saw Margy's CROCS was being eaten by the escalator (the side portion of the escalator).... He pulled Margy right away till he waited to land on the ground to check..There he saw Margy's crocs got burned together with her toes with excessive bleeding.Right away he decided to rush her to the nearest mall clinic. From the Festival Mall Admin , Healthway Doctors and Asian Hospital Doctors themselves, this incident was not the 1st time to happen... Reportedly there were 5 incidents in Festival Mall, 3 in ATC, 1 in SM and 1 in Shangrila Mall. The worse case was the toe had to be removed (cases in Shangrila and SM)..These were reported to me by my pedia from Asian. My husband had to research about crocs a day after the incident and surprisingly, there were several accidents worldwide and the recent was a 7 Million dollar case of a couple from New York where their 3 year old kid foot had to be amputated.. Crocs is now banned in Japan too.... Crocs materials are not suitable for escalators. It sticts like a magnet when being stepped on the escalator and eventually might get eaten by it because of its rubberized soft sticky materials... The accident had already happened to my daughter and Im here to share this experience so I can help stop this kind of incident again. My family is still studying if we will sue Crocs and Festival mall because there were no warnings/signs on both the escalators of Festival mall and crocs slippers .From the mall admin themselves, this incident was not the 1st time. Thanks and Hope this will help . God bless... Myla Rosales
Hi Everyone! I have decided to make deliveries via public transpo, hence I am reducing the delivery charges to Makati & Mandaluyong/Ortigas area by almost 50%. The prices of petrol are getting steeper and using the car for deliveries is not practical anymore. Plus we pay toll fees to and from Makati/Mandaluyong which adds up to the delivery charges. Deliveries to designated areas in Makati is now at Php200 while deliveries to Mandaluyong is now down to Php300. However, for clients insisting on having the product/s delivered to a different address in Makati and Mandaluyong/Ortigas area, we will have to compute for the delivery charges separately. As stated in the Shipping & Delivery page, clients ordering at the same time and within the same area may share the cost of delivery.
What makes Junior's Cheesecake unique? Junior's Cheesecake is a pure New York style cream cheese cake. We use only the finest of ingredients including Philadelphia® cream cheese, heavy cream, fresh eggs, sugar and vanilla. Most of our regular cheesecakes have a signature sponge cake bottom-because it's a cake, not a pie!! But seriously, what makes them unique are these high quality ingredients and the fact that we still bake them in small batches of only 88 at a time, hand mixing the ingredients just like you would at home with the same recipe for that last 55 years.

Cakes will be delivered with dry ice depending on the style of cake chosen. As long as the cake is cool to touch, it is perfect for eating even if there is no dry ice remaining in the package. For cakes delivered with dry ice, be sure not to touch the remaining dry ice with bare hands.
What are the handling instructions? Or, what do I do with my cheesecake once it is delivered? You may consume, refrigerate, or refreeze the cakes. Our cakes will last up to seven days in the refrigerator or up to six months in the freezer. Whichever you choose, your Junior's cake will taste as fresh as if you were enjoying it in one of our restaurants. Cakes can be refrozen.
How should I serve my Junior's Cheesecake? Cheesecakes should be served at room temperature. If frozen, leave cake overnight in the refrigerator and defrost on counter 3 hours before serving. Otherwise, defrost on counter 4-5 before serving.
What is the best way in which to cut a whole cheesecake? Cheesecakes are best served at room temperature. Use a warm knife (dipped in hot water) to cut the cheesecake. A chef's knife or cake knife works best. Wipe the knife with a damp towel in between each slice to ensure a smooth cut. Watch for fast hands trying to grab the cut slices! Enjoy!
