In 1950, restaurant Founder Harry Rosen and Master Baker Eigel Peterson, created and produced what is now known as the World's Most Fabulous Cheesecake. The recipe has been part of the Rosen family for three generations.
Hail a taxicab anywhere in New York City and tell the driver, "Take me to the best cheesecake in New York." Odds are you'll end up at the corner of Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues in Brooklyn, at Juniors. Junior's landmark restaurant is known as the home of New York's best cheesecake.
2006 - Rated "Best Overall Cheesecake", The Wall Street Journal
1973 - Rated #1 by New York Magazine.
1982 - Governor Mario Cuomo declared May 27th as Junior’s Restaurant Day.
Today people still come from all over to have their favorite slice of the famous cheesecake.
For over 50 years the saying is still true: You haven’t lived until you’ve had cheesecake at Junior's.
